0:00A: Ever since Sean Payton, and, uh, and now we got Bo Nix, and we’re getting ready to -- I believe that, uh, the Denver Broncos are gonna be really hard to beat next year.
0:26B: Okay.
0:26A: You know?
0:27B: Why do you think that?
0:28A: Because they have, uh, Superior coaching. Their guys are happy together, you know.
0:41B: Camaraderie goes a long way.
0:43A: Yeah, they’re all cohesive, you know.
0:45B: Camaraderie over competition. That’s why I can’t --
0:48A: no, I mean, they like what they’re doing and doing what they like, you know, and they’re pulling it off, you know. Hey, no matter sometimes it’s been skin and teeth You know, they still pull it off and that’s pretty badass.
1:09B: So what do you think about the city of Denver? What’s working, what’s not working?
1:16A: I love it. Look, the redbuds are in bloom. Um, this guy is breakdancing.
1:36B: That nigga is not breakdancing.
1:38A: Stuff to pick up. Uh, I don’t know. Uh, I just always want to see a better day and a glimpse, you know? I mean, Life is a pain in the ass.
2:05B: Mm.
2:05A: So try to have fun while you’re going through it.
2:09B: Yeah.
2:09A: You know? I mean, um... I don’t know, uh... I... But like 4 years ago, I was out here with a hot pickle, one of them chili pickles in the bag.
2:29B: Mm-hmm.
2:31A: You know? I’ll give you a hot pickle for, you know...
2:36B: Yeah, you were selling them?
2:37A: Yeah, well, no. I mean, I was flying it like a sign.
2:42B: Okay.
2:44A: Yeah. $5 for a fucker. Head on down to the liquor store. See... I love the fact that I haven’t been on methamphetamine. All right, believe you me, all right, I don’t know if it was just me or if it was because of fucking the degree of the methamphetamines that I was on.
3:19B: Mm-hmm.
3:20A: All right?
3:21B: Mm-hmm.
3:21A: What’s up, my friend? But, uh, It was not good. I don’t know, um, it took over a year from 2021, August, Friday the 13th, um, before I started fucking becoming lucid. You know, I mean, really. I mean, you know, because that shit, it like puts another gear in your fucking head.
4:03B: Hmm.
4:03A: And it’s a chemical imbalance, you know. And you do, you know, you think, but yeah, I -- who doesn’t know somebody that started doing methamphetamines And thought it was fun, and now you know their fucking shit’s up nuts. You know, I mean, I’m sorry. You know, no, it’s real. No, look, I um.
4:52B: Huh.
4:52A: I was lucky. My dad, I got my first gun when I was 6, .22. I started hunting and All my dad ever told me, he said, make sure you’ve got something that’ll stop your bullet behind it. You know, if you’re not gonna be able to hit your target, make sure there’s something there that will stop the bullet.
5:26B: Yeah.
5:27A: And, um, I mean, you know, I -- This is -- I have so much fun. Hey brother, could I buy a smoke? But, uh, oh God, sorry, we’re going to get a pack of smokes, so it’s all good. Well, no, it’s all right. I’m high, you know, but I mean, it’s a good high. Not like a lot, but, uh, no, uh, I could see where people would be pissed off. Ain’t that worse? You know, uh, I My friends used to make fun of me because they’d ask me how much our house cost.
6:41B: Mm-hmm.
6:42A: All right? And they’d say like $300,000 or $400,000, all right, you know? And I’d be like, $70,000, $80,000, you know?
6:53B: Mm-hmm.
6:54A: But see, here’s the only thing that I know. All my dad had to do was buy the ground. All right, he owned a rock quarry, he owned a lumber company, he had earth-moving equipment, and he had excavators. And he fucking built that shit with guys he knew, and he drew the blueprints up and fucking made it. And so yeah, it only cost my dad about $75,000, $80,000.
7:26B: Mm-hmm.
7:27A: to build that fucking house. ’Cause he owned all the rest of this shit.
7:32B: Yeah.
7:32A: You know what I mean? And they was all like, oh no, your house is -- you know? But it was. My dad told me, he said basically he had to like come up with $500 a day to pay for it. ’Cause we were on 3, plots of, you know.
7:55B: But you didn’t own any of the land?
7:57A: No, we owned it all.
7:59B: Oh, okay.
7:59A: That’s why he had to come up with like $500.
8:03B: Oh, ’cause he was buying it?
8:04A: No, he already owned it.
8:06B: To maintain.
8:07A: The taxes.
8:08B: Oh wow.
8:09A: And you know, because of the house, they -- well, it was 8,672 square foot, 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms. What kind of house? Had a 40-foot vaulted ceiling in the living room with cast iron chandeliers, you know. We was having Christmas there one year and all everybody in the family was there. And, uh, I remember thinking my best friend’s house could fit in our fucking living room, you know?
9:01B: That’s crazy.
9:03A: Well, I mean, you know, I mean, um, but no, I mean, the realization of something like that when it hit you, like, you know, You know, um --
9:15B: What do you think about wealth inequality?
9:17A: Um, I think if you can get your hands on some wealth, do it. I think if you ain’t got equality, struggle for it. And I think that everybody I’ll always reconsider the other guy before I fucking does something stupid, you know? I mean, you know, it, you know, but sometimes it’s better, you know, to think about something before you do something stupid. I know it’s helped me a few times, you know.
10:11B: I could do a better job.
10:12A: Well, I mean, I -- here’s the thing that sucks. I had a 1966 Chevy Caprice, and this motherfucker only had a cylinder fucking deal for the brake And I had extra wide 60s on the front and extra wide 50s on the back. I had 44 ounce or 44 inches of fucking rubber, all right? And all I had was drum brakes and that old fucking cylinder, all right?
10:51B: Mm-hmm.
10:53A: So I used to have to get on the gas a lot Yeah. To get out of the situation, all right? The first time I got on it, I was going by a goddamn high school, all right? And I’m going like 120, fucking trying to stop this son of a bitch, getting it down to 90, all right? But there’s a fucking -- they got this billboard up there, all right? So I drove over to the other side because I knew I couldn’t stop this son of a bitch. And this was before Sonic was there, you know, it was just the high school and the, uh, you know, the graveyard.
11:36B: Yeah, of course.
11:37A: All right, yeah, um, but anyway, I’m hauling ass and I can’t stop this motherfucker. All right, this is when I found out If you stomped on the throttle on this bitch, all right, in second gear, uh, you had to have like 300 yards, you know, to stop this motherfucker. What did you do, my man? Not a lot, man. What the fuck is wrong with you people? You’re fired. I’ll bet. How you doing, man? How you doing?
12:27B: Good.
12:28A: Maceo, what is on your --
12:30B: how we doing? Um, it’s a local artist.
12:33A: Uh, we’re recording them. This guy’s interviewing them. I’ve seen this mural. Yeah. Why I got dickhead friends and they follow me around.
12:46B: Sick, sick, sick.
12:47A: Now he’s a -- sell it back to me. You no more UA, I’m a graduated pro. Okay, man, I love your hair. What are you doing here?
12:59B: Fucking --
