Part four from a Denver convenience store, where Maceo is buying the drinks. “I’m paying for everything, so you might as well stand here.” Someone at the counter has a rule: “The only time I say no is when you ask me if I’ve had enough.”

Then the pitch, in his own words, to whoever is in the frame: “I’ve been walking around Denver asking people questions on the street,” “trying to understand how people see the city.” And the mechanism behind it, the poidh collaboration: “we have like $100 every week we’re giving away to people that go out and whoever makes the most interesting video asking them the question of the week, they win the bounty.”

This week’s question is the most important global issue today. The answer comes fast. “War.” Then the reasoning. “I feel like the most important issue or globally would be war because it could end everybody’s life.” Without peace, or at least cordiality, “then how can we thrive?” And the line the title takes: “We’re going to destroy everything to win. There’s no winning, I don’t know. There’s no winning in that.” Maceo agrees. “You can’t win a war.”
