Ánesi, founder of Creative Alchemy, on the beginning.
Ánesi, founder of Creative Alchemy, the creator collective in Abuja that has been We Them Media’s partner in Nigeria, with Maceo. What surprised her: “I didn’t expect to find a community of black creatives in the Web3 space that I didn’t know of, like, eight months ago, that I’d be doing an event with.” She names who she came to see, Daniel, Ebenezer and Joshua, and says “I feel super blessed to be able to co-create this and to learn from you all in community.”
Maceo: “Me too, me too. I’m super excited.” Then her line for the moment: “this is the beginning to greatness and it’s so beautiful to see what we’re about to create.” And why it is personal. “This has always been a personal movement for me because these were the things that I lacked” when she was starting out, and now “there’s this joy that comes to me when a lot of creatives out there understand” and “have resources to utilize with their creativity.”
A reel from the full interview, recorded at Life Camp, Abuja, which is on the channel. Executive producer @cxy; supported by Donna Dalton and Aja Davis. The transcript below is from the original audio.
