Meet Kafani: photographer, reader, storyteller.
Kafani, who files from Lagos for the Nigeria desk, introduces herself to camera. “I am a creative, a photographer, an artist, a content creator, and someone who just likes expressing herself with different forms of storytelling.” Five years of photography and digital storytelling, and, she says, “what most people don’t know about me is that I have a background in communication. I study mass communication in University of Legos, Nigeria.”
She reads: “Like all those people you see on TikTok, book girlies. I am a book girlies. I read mangas. I read memoirs.” And she is launching two series of her own, “one is called kafani tries where I try out new apps and mini apps and talk about them and then the other one is tea time with kafani.” The year’s plan: “learning creating and expressing myself to the fullest,” because “nobody actually has life figured out so I’m just going to be taking it one step at a time.”
