0:02BFrom Poland.
0:03AOkay, what are you working on?
0:05BI’m in the crypto space since 2016, ’17, like actively fully working since 2019. I was working in a software house, and I was working actually on helping out with deploying Uniswap on Celo blockchain. I was also in AI side in Teneo and working for Substrate. And right now we are doing like our own thing. But yeah, in my opinion right now, like Because about the question, what’s coming, like what kind of jobs are right now in crypto, in my opinion, everything is like fully moving into like the tradified. So everything was connected with traditional finance. So everything like, everything was happening with stablecoins. Like if you look just around, like all of the, like most of the booths here are basically for stablecoins, for everything was more connected to the institutional side. So a couple years ago, like if you go to 2016, everyone wanted to have like their own blockchain. So they were like, like a lot of people who were looking for blockchains. Then it shifted to the smart contract layer. Everything was around like basically NFTs and everything. And right now everything is going into this traditional finance. So we are kind of merging crypto with the traditional finance. And I think the most important knowledge is the knowledge in between both.
1:24AYeah.
1:24BSo basically knowing what’s happening on the crypto side, where is the yield coming from, how is it working, how is the lending borrowing protocol working, how is the swap working, everything, and connecting it together with the institutional side and showing them what’s possible and how you can combine it. So if you’re like the person that can bridge these both worlds together, you’re in a perfect spot, especially right now. So that’s --
1:47AAnd what would you say is like, what is crypto?
1:49BWhat is crypto? Okay, so crypto is basically, hmm, let me, I would like to, you know, to basically go with this always decentralized. You’re basically kind of, you have this stake on, you know, like on decentralization. But in my opinion, there is something more towards that. I will give a use case. Imagine I had like, I was in Poland, I was hiring a guy from Philippines, and to pass him the money was so basically hard going over Western Union, etc. So crypto actually enabled this layer to send it very cheap, very quick, couple of seconds. So it gives you this kind of layer of financial layer across the whole world which connects the whole world in where you can pay in seconds and you can do a lot of protocols for really cool things and don’t be exposed, for example, I don’t know, like for extra fees which are for, I don’t know, like Western Union or every kind of this layer of banking layers. So in my opinion, right now crypto is kind of this super seamless banking layer for cross-world payments.
3:01AYeah.
3:02BWith extra additional cool side of it. For example, what we do in our project right now is that you have a card, you have a normal credit card, Imagine you’re a student or someone, and you want to be still exposed on the S&P 500. So you buy. You have only one thousand dollars. So with us, what you can do is you can buy S&P 500 and pay with go for I don’t know for a matcha. Just pay with the card and take use this S&P 500 as a collateral and borrow against it. Normally billionaires do this. Billionaires can do this, but because banks allow them to borrow against their stocks.
3:02BBut the issue is that if I have one thousand dollars or I have I don’t know five S&P Who would allow me that? No banks would tell me like, basically, oh yeah, yeah, let’s allow him to borrow against the stock. And right now in crypto, especially in this current space where you have like this connection and you have tokenized stocks, you can do this. And for example, we kind of leverage that, that you can just, you know, have $1,000, I pay $5 for a matcha latte, and automatically it borrows against my stock and I’m exposed for $5 on a very low rate for paying back.
3:02BAnd you can stake it and earn on top of it. So there’s like a lot of basically kind of this stuff that were only available for the billionaires back in the days. And right now it’s coming down to, you know, to the street, to everyone. So every single investor, individual investor can basically do right now, especially kind of with us, the borrowing against your stocks. And still, this is the coolest thing because I don’t know if I mentioned to you, because we have a verification layer for shareholder benefits, which is also like a PDF Web one era. Imagine that to prove that you are a shareholder, you need to go to your broker, take a PDF, send it over by fax email.
3:02BI don’t know even how to use fax, but basically by fax email give it to them. They need to manually verify it to basically give you a shareholder benefit. For example, Accor gives you like a gold loyalty card, like a higher standard if you across their hotels if you have like at least one stock. And what we did is we created this verification layer that allows you to basically take to prove that you’re a shareholder and, and with seamless for the B2B, and at the same time borrow against the stock. So you borrow against your stock and still shareholder and get the shareholder benefits. So imagine like what we are right now working on, a brand deal that basically if you own $100 of Netflix stocks for at least 3 months in Castar Tech, in our app, then basically you’ll get 1 month for free of subscription.
3:02BEvery three months holding of the Netflix stock, you get one month for free of the Netflix stock. So for Netflix, it’s amazing because you basically buy their stock, you hold it, and to prove it for them will be really hard. And basically, with this verification layer, we allow it. And then imagine you still have the have the Netflix stock and you buy a matcha and you borrow against it, and you still have the stock, you’re still owner, you still have the benefits, and you can stay liquid. So this is, for example, what crypto is right now, in my opinion, and allows you this kind of really cool things.
6:20AWhat are what?
6:23BPrior in the traditional finance, but right now it can be used by individuals.
6:28AOkay, very sick. And what’s the project you’re working on again?
6:31BCastar Tech. It’s castar.tech.
6:48AOkay, and do you have an X account where we can tag you? Yeah, definitely.
6:51BWe have an X account. I will give it to you. Okay. It’s also Custard_Tech.
6:56AOkay, sick.
6:57BSo yeah, so basically
