Her first bayou, a stretch of freshly paved road with an actual shoulder, and the bridge over the river the state is named for.

Near Biloxi, in Ocean Springs, a town she names on camera as she arrives, Marissa rides along her first bayou: brackish, palm dotted, and running through a national park. She notes the road is newly paved with a real shoulder, a small thing that matters a great deal when the alternative is sharing a lane with traffic in high visibility gear and hoping for the best.
A short clip catches the crossing into Louisiana: a bridge over the Mississippi River itself, the water that gives the state its name, filmed from the seat of the bike mid crossing.
What she filmed here.
She paid for this whole ride herself, $6,000 before she asked anyone for anything, and she is still out there riding.
