What is Ethereum?
The same three words on a university campus in Lagos and on the streets of Mumbai, put by two different contributors in the same week of May 2026. Almost nobody in either city had heard the word.
What came back is the size of the gap between how settled this technology feels inside a conference hall and how absent it is from the street outside it. In Lagos the contributor ended by setting up a stranger’s first wallet on camera. In Mumbai the transcript keeps every mishearing, because the mishearings are the answer.
