I’m Maceo. I started We Them Media in 2021 to document the global Ethereum movement on the ground. The network expands June 1, 2026. Right now we’re in pre-launch: building the team, raising Season 01, and shipping pilot work in Denver and Philly.

In Q1 2026, Maceo went out alone in Denver with a camera and shot 100+ street interviews on zero budget. Philadelphia is in active production for Q2. Every story we ship gets a permanent record on Ethereum/Optimism, with the file itself on Arweave. So the work outlives any one platform. Free to access, can’t get quietly pulled down.

Yeah, it’s journalism. That’s the actual product. Onchain is the backup. YouTube and Substack can demonetize you or yank the post tomorrow. An onchain record means the work doesn’t disappear when the platform changes its mind.

We use both. YouTube is our primary channel today and we’ll keep using it. The difference is the funding mechanism. Community bounties and patron seats instead of subscriptions or ads, a global team instead of one writer, and permanent records of every story.

Pictures Or It Didn’t Happen. A bounty platform. Anyone can post a question with a dollar amount attached, and a community member shoots the answer for the bounty. We use it to crowdfund specific stories. Browse the open We Them Media bounties at poidh.xyz/a/wethemedia.

We’re minting tokens of patronage on Nouns Builder, on Optimism. Each is 1 ETH at the auction. Patrons get EP credit on every We Them Media release. Token #1 unlocks the $10K bounty match pool. Note: we use the Nouns Builder platform, but these aren’t Nouns. They’re tokens of patronage, made for the same reason. Full details on the Join page.

No. The tokens of patronage are non-transferable patron credentials, not securities. The consideration is editorial credit and a permanent place in the patron lineage. The auction runs on Nouns Builder, but the tokens are ours. They're proof you backed the work.

No. Patrons receive credit, not control. Maceo and the editorial team make every editorial call. If you want to fund a specific story, do it on poidh. Every question is public the second it’s posted, so anyone can see what’s being asked and who asked it.

We size Season 01 to whatever the raise actually is. Every dollar that comes in goes on the Ask page that day. Six real months beats promising twelve and faking it.
