0:04AOh yeah, that’s easy. I’m just gonna turn it around to Richard.

0:08BOkay, okay, what’s up? My name is Maceo, and this is for We Them Media and Pixar Didn’t Happen. And what’s your name?

0:16BJohn, hell yeah, John. You from here in Denver?

0:18AI am.

0:18BOkay, and you’re an artist?

0:20ALocal photographer, yep.

0:22BOkay.

0:23AThere you go, get it all.

0:24BYeah, yeah, yeah, I got you, right? And how’d you get into photography?

0:27AOh, uh, back when I was 13, I, I, uh, uh, took a, uh, blow-off class in middle school, uh, of photography, and it stuck.

0:43BOkay, sick.

0:44AYeah.

0:45BHell yeah. And, and how’d you end up in this gallery, or like this space?

0:50AUm, I wanted to sell. I had been selling, um, you know, typically a photographer gets a start, they sell in restaurants or some places like that, you know, it’s kind of a monthly, a one-month thing. You put your work up there and I wanted to go up, see if I was good enough for the next level.

1:11BOkay.

1:11ASo I brought a portfolio down, walked the entire district, the art district that we’re in. Yeah, yeah. And, uh, this was, uh, this place took me in.

1:23BOh yeah, that’s super sick.

1:25AThat was 14 years ago, 15 years ago.

1:28BOh really?

1:28AYeah.

1:28BOkay, so this is like a community space, huh?

1:30AUh, it’s a space of artists, all different artists that pay rent and sell their work. Okay, sick.

1:39BAll right, and can I ask you this week’s question?

1:41AYeah.

1:41BAll right, so this week’s question is, what’s something that made you smile this week?

1:45AWell, this gallery has, since I’ve been here, has changed hands twice. And even though technically the last time it changed hands was April 1st, this is the first First Friday of the new ownership. And the fact that we are still in business and moving ahead to the next chapter definitely puts a smile on my face.

2:47AYeah. So my wife would tell you that I’m 14 years old and never changed. So if you ask me to ask the world what -- any question, I’m going to go back to, you know, my sophomore days and You know, ask what time does the 6 o’clock news come on.
