0:15SimonUm, yeah, hi, I’m Simon. I’m part of ENS and so we are sponsoring Eat Accra. Okay, that brings me here. It’s my third time.
0:22AWe are one of the sponsors and this is his third time he’s been at Eat Accra. So how has the experience been and What would you like to tell others who are yet to come here?
0:31SimonI mean, I think like the African ecosystem is actually pretty interesting when you see, especially with stablecoins now, that’s something that this week or longer I actually started to like, okay, click, because that’s huge, you know. And also what I think Chantelle said in the presentation before of like this leapfrog of people didn’t have landline here with telephone. They just jumped to telephones like smartphones, or not smart, future phones, and they didn’t have bank accounts, but they immediately jumped to Momo. And now they don’t have bank accounts, and now they go to blockchain and then have stablecoins. So that’s super interesting.
1:10AAmazing, amazing. So if I don’t have an ENS, how do I get an ENS right now?
1:15SimonAn ENS name?
1:16AYeah.
1:17SimonYeah, so you can go to app.ens.domains and just get one, or you can also -- there are also like subnames. So for example, Base has their own, uh, ENS-compatible subnames. So you can have like a .base.eth name. They have like a dedicated website for that. Um, yeah, and then there are also others. So there are different ways, but the official way is through ens.domains.
1:41AYeah. So, um, you know, we are here with Simon, like he said. And how are you liking Ghana? Are you feeling the vibe? You know, Ghana ecosystem, how do you think the Ghana Web3 ecosystem is doing? And what would you tell others as well?
1:54SimonYeah, what I like about Ghana is it’s a very chill country. Uh, I feel very, you know, safe here. People are very respectful. But on the other hand side, there are also very smart people that I meet from time to time. It’s a little bit -- there are hidden treasures, so to say. It’s not so obvious. People come here often and say, you know, Accra is a bit chaotic, maybe dirty or something like that. But I think everywhere you find these hidden treasures, which I really love to enjoy and explore.
2:22AYes. So Ghana is a treasure home, you know. So if you are planning on coming here, yeah, we want to see you. All right, Simon, spell Booyah.
