A young YouTuber in line for Kai Cenat’s Streamer University auditions in New York is quiet because he is saving his energy for the room. When a streamer asks chat how they feel about something in the news, that is news now, and entertainment too, and Kai set the mark early. Then three friends from Asbury Park, one six months into making content and one who has filmed herself since she got a phone, on Kai keeping young Black men occupied and out of trouble.

Filmed in June 2026. The transcript below is from the original audio, trimmed to match the video.

0:45F: Okay.

0:46A: And why you appreciate Kai Cenat?

0:48C: I feel like he a role model because, you feel me, as a person with color, it’s just cool seeing other people do the same thing. And he also young. So it’s like, I know, because I’m not as young as Kai, but it’s like, damn, he give me hope because it’s like --

1:02A: He’s older than you?

1:03C: Nah, he older than me. So it’s like, and then it’s a whole different lane. So it’s like, I’m not really a streamer, but I’m into YouTube. But just the whole online thing is just inspirational and it give me, you feel me, a drive just seeing how far it could go. You feel me?

1:17F: Okay.

1:18A: What do you feel is his impact on culture?

1:19C: I feel like he got a heavy influence because it go even from adults to even all the way down to kids. Like, he got a huge influence, like, even all around the world. from when you do streams from in different countries and stuff. So that’s bringing in different followers and more shit like that. But I think he definitely is influential because then it’s online. That’s kind of like the, the main thing right now, online, like being on your phone, being on your computer. So it’s just like, I feel like that’s the, the new version of news. That’s the new version of entertainment. So it’s like, you feel me?

1:50A: You said new version of news, huh?

1:52C: News and entertainment in a way.

1:54A: So talk about how you see the news right now.

1:55C: Because, you know, just, just simple stuff like being on stream, you might ask guys how y’all feel about this topic or how y’all Feel about the news days. That’s technically news, like you feel me? So it’s like it’s just becoming a. I think I think just streaming gonna be a big thing, and I think he set a big mark early. So it give people like it just it just create a whole different lens. Oh, I don’t got much words to say.

2:15A: You feel me? That was an excellent answer.
