Who the hell is Tim P?
A filmmaker from Pittsburgh explains how he ended up staying in Denver, what he does with his time, and why a broken-down car counts as a good outcome. Filmed walking a dog on Grant Street at 13th.
He introduces himself as Tim, Hella Tim on Instagram, and describes what he is into with a caveat: “What average people on the street might say excessive and dangerous, but I just call it life. Skateboarding, snowboarding, film making, hiking, any day of the week. Let me know when it is. We’re just trying to make something happen out here.”
He is from Pittsburgh, downtown Southside, and he is not over the weather. “It’s a great night. I don’t even know what month it is. It’s so good. What is it, seventy degrees?”
On how he met the person holding the camera: through a room where “people are trying to better themselves”, then some filmmakers, then a documentary he says he jumped on immediately. And on the friend who drove out from Philadelphia and never left: “Car broke down, but now he’s stuck in Denver, as he should be. Could change anyone’s life.”
He has just bought a drone. He is heading to a studio to talk business about a High Times event. The dog decides the route: “We’re going where she takes us.”
