0:12 Web 3 versus Web 2. Community. Community. Why do we have no Web 2 community? Well, we do have Web 2 community, so it says Web 2. However, if you talk to people from Web 3, they're going to say, no, no, no, no, you don't have community like Web 3 has. community. What is it about Web 3 that Web 2 doesn't have? And I would almost, it has to be a technical component, but it can't be exclusively technical. So I'm going to say that it is the security combined with transparency that allows somebody to engage and interact from afar, but get up close and still let technology serve as a buffer. In Web 2, you don't really

0:57 and P.C. I think that's the reason why we have that. At least it's not as evident, it's not as apparent to those who are participating. And I feel like those who are participating in Web 3 see that potential and they embrace it because they notice that it's a difference, it's a departure from what you're getting from Web 2. What do you think? I mean, I definitely agree. I think what I see as a significant shift also, aside from that transparency and like, this internet buffer is like the ability to design incentives. It's like all of a sudden we can say like oh it's worthwhile being here because like you were just saying like you can be the student in the classroom or you can be the people producing the knowledge and I think in Web3 there's only like there's like 80 people producing the knowledge and like 20 people learning at any given time and so it's like it's not that hard to become part of the 80% you just have to do the learning first and so I would say that for me that distinction is really like in that gap of like getting the knowledge and then thinking about like okay now what kind of things we want

1:55 and Incensifies People to Do. Well, I think they're important. It's like, okay, I met my NFT, but what are the benefits of doing that? You know, even my NFT and I are recognized by my community and now there's benefits to that. It's like, oh, that's cool. So now you might see it like the people who also see this pretty good thing as worthwhile and valuable. So I think it creates a context wherein people can come together around shared senses of what is valuable and worthwhile, but not in a sense of like, oh, this is just cool and popular right now and trendy. It's like, no, this is worth my money.

2:22 This is worth my time. This is worth my energy. So I think it actually generates more meaningful interactions than we see Web2 ordinarily generate Because people are like, the value is real, the value is tangible The value might not be communicable, but the value is communally understood Right, and I would say, to piggyback on that We have that understanding that as a participant in the technology You are aware that this exists That you can see what's visible You can see that there are perks to this. It's understood across the landscape of those who are participating and offering these goods and services that, hey, we need to be able to do something that we can track and allows people to sustain some value.

3:08 And so these are really, these are intangibles, right? They're qualifiables, but you can definitely start to see a quantifiable element in it, right? They start to actually translate into numbers as people, they see that there's a community, they see that others lose value, they see that there's participation, and so they can quantify this is something of value, and so it validates their perception that it has value. And so now, it's like a two-step authentication, let me go and work this way. I should be doing that. Right, exactly, exactly. And in Web 2, you don't really have that. It's almost like, and maybe we're going to end up there eventually, but it seems that Web 2 maybe even started with that same ethos.

3:59 But once it's been exploited, now what you have, now you, generically, a casserole of value being tossed at you, like it is to everybody else, you don't feel special, you're not contributing to anything, you're just another number. So we might actually end up there once, like, again. Web 2 was new at some point. I mean, uh, Laura, you have a lighter note? Uh, maybe not. But I think, like, uh,
