0:00 What do you think are some of the pitfalls of DAO, starting out early on, when there's, I'm the president of DAO, and we're structuring our new roadmap, and, you know, we're looking good, and it's, you know, that pitfall of growing up, essentially a non-profit coming people out, and we're able to sustain people who are in the DAO, as it goes on, and create those objectives, we talked about outcomes, objectives. What do you think are some ways that DAO really ought to take advantage of these grant programs and shadowing these pitfalls? It's really hard to do without personal bias as well, because maybe we've all lived a bit as well of this problem.

0:47 I think being capital efficient at the beginning is important, and the more capital you have, there might be a problem, and the model might be a problem as well. And I think it depends whether you're tooling through community action or whether you're tooling something infrastructure-based or software-based, whether you're trying to bring people together just for a particular purpose. Obviously critical mass is really important and understanding how you mission your objectives, your key assets, the people or things that you're starting up really early on or trying to secure early on are aligned. One thing that I think can be helpful is if you can try to develop an understanding of your own strengths. So is there a particular product that you ship or content you created or among the team or existing set of contributors to the DAO, what are their backgrounds and strengths?

1:56 and then look at the ecosystem of sort of projects that have grant programs and try to find one or two places where there's a strong overlap between what you've developed and your strengths and sort of what they're looking for in the ecosystem specifically. Quite something I think about in terms of just like relationship building and partnerships in this space is like code road mapping, right? Can you get what you're building to be so value aligned or vision aligned with a potential partner that's larger than you and has funding that they actually rely on you to build out part of their roadmap? So I think a TLDR of that is focused and really understanding what your strengths are and then trying to identify very specifically in the ecosystem where that can be applied and you can become a true partner versus just another project out there.

This piece was never on YouTube. It was published straight to a public blockchain in the days it was shot, so it does not depend on any platform. The words above are the transcript of the tape, made the same way as the rest of the archive and not corrected by anyone.
