0:00You know, people of color all over the world, they experience that same kind of inherited Yeah, complex trauma situation. Complex trauma. In some ways, I think it gets into you genetically. And my mother experienced mortifying abuse at the same, you know, worse even than my dad. And so just understanding the role of how all the, you know, macroeconomic conditions, these abusive, various abusive factors that happen, and then looking across and seeing somebody might look different from you, but they are the same fundamentally. One of my favorite sayings is that sometimes when you reach up to scratch your head, you might accidentally poke yourself in the eye.

0:43And the thing about that is you’re not going to yell at your finger for being mad because you consider it to be a part of yourself. And so if someone does an injustice upon you, the only real way out of that is to do the same thing, is to consider that person a part of Yourself.
