0:00They call you what? Lee. Lee. L E E. You’re a creative. Yeah. I mean I deserve but I have to plan to start being more I try my best. Okay. But like I heard from um uh the convenor of profest. He said you’re the creative lead for Profess. And um the whole idea is to be able to merge um builders and by builders I mean developers and creatives together to coexist and know bring solutions to life. So um I was very curious about how they went about the creative approach of things and I was the one adding that aspect you did hear my concerns a bit about the idea of oh
0:44they could have been where like more integration of the creative side of things but I understand that it’s depressed and there’s more to come. So but for you now where exactly was like how exactly did you see the vision of this when you shared with you?
0:56Yes. So um before starting this they were actually more reference project right but to explain um how the idea actually came about um because um I actually handled part a majority of the branding right
1:10yeah and I love I love the brand by the way. Yeah thank you very much. Um so the idea we started with was to have a a part where um development that’s engineering and design works together and I think the creative part for me was to simplify a majority of the web tree terms and jags and processes that you guys always use to make things very complex right
1:36just communicate. Yeah. And then a part of that was also to also communicate um plateau states as a place because we are trying to bring people in because we trying to make people around us also developers that are building in their own separate silos. You understand to actually come out and meet new people and understand what is actually going on in the web space at large. Right? So a majority of that branding actually has to incorporate a majority of those things. So um basically we basic we just try to simplify everything for everyone. Developers need to understand how designers think and designers need to understand how developers think. Yeah.
2:14So that no for me I’m I’m trying to I’m I’m an advocate for uh for the creative economy to actually grow um to for more infrastructures to actually be created support it you get beyond those of this bounces and other things we see you get but more about idea of us being in the key decision making of how the narrative is being built because I feel like that’s why we see a lot of the web two ecosystem evolving you get you can start called the c creators tool. They even went into creating the business tools too for businesses. So it’s like they even went into diversifying
2:53um a lot more of the niche and the ecosystems. So we’re looking at okay at least for at the very least now we’re having what we’re calling builders and under these builders we’re having what we call developers and we’re having creative creators creators here and how they could really create reward solutions that can really make an average man use our products because
3:13that’s the new web. Yeah, actually. So, with that being said, like for you now, even with this happening, how do you expect like you’ve learned from this, what do you how can you see yourself evolving in this space and like um how do you expect like the next Broadfest to be or what like what would what should you be expecting?
3:30Yes. So, um as you know, um this is actually our first time um hosting this event, right? So definitely the second one we plan for it to be way more better because we’ve learned a lot um through the branding and how the branding actually applies in real world spaces like you can see the hall and um yeah we try to have um the majority of our hackathons also I think um I spoke with some of the team members right and we try to find ways to incorporate designers into most of these flows so designers and creative content because no matter no matter what you clothing
4:08there has to be someone that going to be there has to be research. Yeah. So these are the things that Yeah. Yeah. People are going to research and put it out there and so that people will be able to use. That’s where that’s where actually the research part comes in where people can actually search up your product and then know how to use it because you put out stuff there. You put out content that people can actually look for and get. So um coming back to my first statement where I say um the idea is to make everything simple to bridge the gap in between these two um
4:40what I call it ecosystems right um the designers and the engineers we plan to make everything more simpler next year and we plan to have way more creatives here um I feel like that’s my personal mission really right so we plan to have more designers more creators people that would help us celebrate web like we need to see NFTs around. Okay. We need to see like for like kind of like we need to see like NF we need to see like an NFT NFT like artist winning like the best NFT or something like that. We need to see artists musical artist come here to perform their products too because
5:22whatever they need a product. So we need to see that happening too. when you see I don’t know what’s going to be like for dancers coming on chain but like
5:29yes histoally I was a dancer when I came into the whole critical space so there’s something I can say about that right um over my time in the web three space right because I’ve I’ve tried to sell a lot of NFTs right some of them work some of them did not but the main thing here is that I’ve gained a lot of experience through interacting with a majority of these products like you have people that only make music and then they sell them as NFTs And for a creator, owning your content and being able to control who actually buys it and people don’t just like use your stuff uselessly and
6:04actually gain control your IP. Yes. Yes. And for a creator that is very very important, you understand? Start earning from day one when you are pushing out content. And that’s kind of what web actually help us do. It helps so many creatives actually make more. Think of a musician, think of an artist, think of an illustrator, think of a web designer, think of a social media designer, right? You create a majority of this content and if you can actually help or if you can actually put them on the blockchain, people are going to be willing to pay you a lot of money just to be able to use that. But I know at
6:38end of video now it’s like now I feel like it it scales creatives to a level of being critical thinkers as compared to web before just all about creating music and just putting it there and telling people to go and listen to your song and all. I feel like what web 3 does now and what what the new internet is all about now is purpose. So now it’s like you don’t own your data what purpose does your data achieve? How does actually provide solutions? Yes, it can. Yes, because how we can evolve this data oriented world is scaling. How does that look like coming into the space too and how can
7:15artists integrate into leveraging uh the the inference of the next generation? Yeah. So it’s okay you have to say about AI um not exactly but um what I can say is that um I feel like AI is kind of like a new technology like web three that is currently in existence right and the way I look at it is a way to enhance a creator’s um creativity right so take it for example with an AI I can actually like make variations of something that I’ve already created definitely AI cannot like start everything for you from finish from start to finish. Obviously, like you can test the new
7:51models that are available and you’ll see that um it’s technically impossible or almost impossible for you to envision what is in your head, right? Unless if you are someone that had no idea from the beginning, right? But for a creative that actually hopes to create great stuff that will actually help. Putting AI and web together is a way to help um let’s say an illustrator now is trying to put out NFTs, right? and you want to make like say 100 pieces of those NFTs so that people will be able to like get in scale, you only one person but AI helps you create more variations of
8:22those things and then you can pick because you are a human and you have like um what I call it you can actually see what works and what does not work. You have the entire picture of what the end goal is supposed to look like. AI doesn’t just basically mimics what it thinks you want to see.
8:41Yeah. So each iterate. Yeah. Um iterations that’s very important as a human being. That’s going to be like one of the superpowers that you have above.
8:48Yes. Being able to prompt like prompt is that like now that’s even where the talent of prompting comes in cuz everybody can type everybody can. So it’s like how do you actually communicate cuz end of day part is still the same creative the power of communication. So you can see that even in the AI world they will still need creatives because we will test these guys. We we’ll do the research. We we put this to the limits. We see we stretch it and see how this product can even still evolve and they can use data that they from even creatives to even further enhance it to actually provide
9:17the solutions that it needs to. So you see it’s it’s needed no matter where where the space is creatives bring the culture. So it’s important that we start looking out for how we can actually start scaling this and building more value and for the key the VCs the patrons the whatever to start being able to support more creatives not just through just the idea of the bounties or this but the idea of even having more infra having more having more that can encourage towards this initiative but I do believe that there’s actually a difference between a creative and a creative so that’s important but amazingly
9:56I thank you so much for your time. My pleasure, man. So, you’re going to do something again. Yeah. Before we actually do this thing, I want to play again with you. What was
10:02that? Yeah. I’m going to ask you like quick fire questions. Five quick fire questions. Okay. Yeah. You don’t you don’t know what it is, but you’re going to give me an answer to it.
10:11Okay. Yeah. Favorite designing tool? Photoshop. Favorite editing tool? Has to be Photoshop still. Editing tool? Yeah. Photo editing, design, whatever. Favorite video editing tool? Ah, video editing. Yeah, I always go with After Effects. I’m a lot more proficient with that.
10:28After effect, uh favorite uh sorry favorite social media platform? Uh has to be X. Favorite web three social media platform has platform. Uh social platform has to be Discord.
10:43Discord. I would say Pakist Yeah. Um Discord actually helps build um help. Yeah. you connect more with the community there and you get firstand information because like
10:57Yeah. Okay. Discord it is there. Uh the last question. Are you ready? Yes. Uh mobile or camera has to be camera. Camera is always better every time. Well, good man. So you’re going to spell booya for me now? Like look at them like spell booya. B O Y A H Have you watched our videos before?
11:26Not really. But you know the media? Yeah, I know the media. I’ve watched our videos before. Like I’ve seen your I’ve seen your social media channel but like it’s not that for a long over the time of like doing the whole design thing. I’ve seen you guys as one of our like partners. So I’ve been like I’ve been checking everybody that’s our partners. I’ve checked their page.
11:44Oh that’s good. That is intentionality there. Detailing is very important as a creative that you are too to be. That’s amazing. All right. Hello everyone. My name is Wii Brian. You can call me Lee. I’m a creative designer and motion designer. And I’m live at Proest with Be the Media. Booyah.
