0:00A: Alright, so what’s up guys? We’re outside the Channel 5 Carnival here in Denver, Colorado. We’re about to hear people talk about their experience with Channel 5, what they like about it. This is definitely a case study in independent media and journalism. That’s what Channel 5 is, that’s what Gaia Cinco is, that’s what all this shit is. And I’m honestly, in a city like Denver, Colorado, this thing is sold out. Over the past couple days I looked at the website on Ticketmaster, there was like 400 tickets, then it was like 200 tickets, and today I saw a posting story, less than 100 tickets. Bruh, what’s your name though?
0:27Paul: I’m Paul.
0:28A: Paul, it’s nice to meet you, man. Maceo.
0:30Paul: Maceo?
0:30A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is Tim.
0:32Paul: Hey, what’s up, dude? What’s going on?
0:33A: Like, there’s a lot of conversation here about immigration, I would say. And like, for example, could Andrew be like, okay, I really -- I’m not in Denver, but I want to get people to go out and get the perspective of people in Denver on like on what’s going on. Or maybe like say in Minneapolis, right? Say he didn’t go to Minneapolis, but he invited -- he put out, said, I want people to go out and I’ll give $100 to my favorite content and I’ll pick as many as I want for my video. And then all of a sudden he has like primary sources from a foreign context and he’s kind of leaving out the through line. That’s kind of what I’d like to prove a concept for with my project. And so right now we’ve had people participate in my weekly bounties of $100. People submit from Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, and India so far, like the last like 3 weeks.
1:10Paul: That’s crazy, man.
1:11A: Yeah, thanks.
1:12Paul: Good for you.
